What's New in the mQ HVAC App: 3.6.3

What's new in the mQ HVAC App 3.6.3

The 3.6.3 update is rolling out over-the-air, so you do not have to wait on the App Store: tap the user icon in the upper left and check for updates.

  • Longer videos: Record up to 6 minutes (previously 30 seconds), with no lag, freezing, or failed uploads.
  • New Smart Tool support: Added the NAVAC NX1G vacuum gauge, mapped the TEC DG-8 to Return, Supply, or Total static pressure right on the Static Pressures screen, and restored the missing R-454A and R-454C refrigerants for everyone.
  • mQ Assist actions: Copy a response to the clipboard, send it to project notes, or have it read aloud.
  • New Quick Tests: A Gas Vent Sizer (Type-B vents to NFPA 54), a Vent Termination Check (IFGC 503.8), and a Gas Pipe Sizer, plus a rebuilt leak (pressure) test with finer resolution, adjustable pass/fail tolerance, and temperature-compensated readings.
  • Recovery and stability: Saved projects now auto-recover if they go missing (with a new Recover Projects button as a safety net), saving is faster with no pile-ups, and the crash when saving projects with many photos or videos is fixed.

We Rebuilt measureQuick.com From the Ground Up

The redesigned measureQuick.com homepage

We rebuilt measurequick.com from the ground up. The new site is faster and easier to navigate, with content organized by what you actually need: by role, by segment, and by the tools you already run. Same measureQuick, far less clicking around.

Two new interactive pages are worth a look:

The new interactive Smart Tools ecosystem map

  • Smart Tools: No brand lock-in. The new page maps 80+ Bluetooth tools across 17+ brands. Filter by brand to highlight just your tools, then click any tool to see exactly what it does in the app.
  • Callback Calculator: Move the sliders to match your shop (job revenue, crew size, jobs per week, callback rate) and watch the real yearly cost of callbacks update live, then email yourself the full breakdown. There is a companion ROI Calculator on the same Resources menu.

Run into anything that looks off while you are clicking around the new site? Let us know at support@measurequick.zohodesk.com so we can fix it fast.

From Adam Mufich (NCI): Communicating measureQuick Results to Homeowners

Communicating measureQuick Results to Homeowners

The most accurate test in the world is worthless if the homeowner does not understand what you found. Adam Mufich of NCI lays out how to turn your mQ report into a conversation instead of a data dump: lead with why rather than the numbers, tie each measurement to a symptom the customer already feels, and let the age-adjusted Vitals score and the Service Summary page do the heavy lifting in plain language. The payoff is being seen as a trusted advisor rather than a parts changer.

Jobber Integration: Looking for Early Adopters

We are building an integration with Jobber, the cloud-based field service management platform for small-to-medium home service businesses. We do not have a ship date yet, and that is the point: we want to shape it with the people who will use it.

If you run Jobber and want a say in how the integration works, we are looking for early adopters to test it and give feedback. Add your name and we will be in touch.

Upcoming Training

It is the busy season, so the calendar is light until things slow down later in the summer. Two events worth putting on your radar:

  • Trainer & Champion Gathering - July
    Virtual | July 22, 2026 | 6:00 - 7:00 PM ET | Free
A free virtual session for certified trainers, in-house champions, and anyone planning to step into the role. Covers updates to the standard cooling-mode AC and heat pump PowerPoints, accessing the decks and handouts, mQ+ features, checklists, demo data, and the next Train the Trainer dates.
  • measureQuick 101: HVAC Commissioning - Denver
    In person | July 23, 2026 | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM MT | $1,600
A full hands-on day with master trainer Joe Medosch, from app setup through completing AC and heat pump commissioning in cooling mode. Tuition includes a JB probe kit to keep and a one-year Premier membership, and Colorado contractors can be reimbursed up to $1,500 through Power Ahead Colorado (seats limited to 15 companies).
