measureQuick 3.6: The Largest Release in Our History

measureQuick 3.6 Release Announcement

measureQuick 3.6 is the most substantial update we have ever shipped. Dozens of new features land in both the free tier and Premier Services, including a completely rebuilt interface, a patent-pending real-time system visualization, and the first AI engine in HVAC that reads directly from live measurements instead of text prompts.

Every feature below is built around a single principle: close the gap between what a technician knows and what gets documented, verified, and acted on in the field. Service managers get visibility into work that was previously invisible. Technicians get to value faster. Owners get the standardization required to scale quality across every truck.

System View (All Users)

System View is a live, interactive diagram of the HVAC system under test. Pressures, temperatures, superheat, subcooling, airflow, and dehumidification render directly on a schematic. Refrigerant levels in the condenser and evaporator move as conditions change. Every element is tappable: filter, metering device, liquid line, condensate, compressor.

Jim Bergmann spent 12 years drawing the refrigeration cycle on a whiteboard as a high school teacher. System View replaces that whiteboard with real measurement data. It is a field diagnostic tool and a training tool in one interface, available to every user at no cost.

Tool Tracker

Introducing Tool Tracker

Tool Tracker records the GPS coordinates of every Bluetooth tool each time it connects to a job. The result is a map view showing the last-known location of every tool in your toolbox, with make, model, serial number, last user, and last-seen timestamp. Tap any pin and the app resolves the street address.

One left-behind $150 outdoor psychrometer covers three months of Premier Services. Available to Premier subscribers.

Companywide Checklists

Company administrators can now build custom checklists that deploy to every technician in the organization. Each checklist ties to a specific workflow (cooling vitals, cooling service, gas furnace, installation) and positions at the beginning, before measurements, after measurements, or end of the workflow.

Items support checkboxes, required photo capture, and video clips up to 30 seconds with annotations. Videos embed in reports as QR codes, so customers and managers can scan and watch the field recording from the cloud. Default checklists ship covering mechanical inspection, photo documentation, and work completion. Modify or build from scratch. Available to Premier subscribers.

mQ+ Interface

Premier subscribers now have access to mQ+, a completely rebuilt interface designed around how technicians actually work. The app detects connected Bluetooth probes automatically, pre-fills equipment profiles, and tracks progress through a percentage indicator. In a live demo, Jim Bergmann walked through a complete cooling vitals project, from launch to a scored report, in the time it took the system to stabilize.

mQ+ features a five-tab bottom navigation (Home, Grid, Gauges, System, Toolbox), a quick-access drawer with flashlight, camera, and actions, and voice-enabled AI. Premier users can switch between mQ+ and mQ Classic at any time in Settings. Both interfaces share the same projects and data.

AI System Profiler and mQ Assist Improvements

The AI System Profiler now extracts more data from nameplate photos, including improved heating and cooling data, automatic fuel type detection, gas furnace rating plate capture, and automatic access to equipment manuals. Quick Profiles let companies save common configurations as reusable templates (Premier); technicians select the profile at the job site and tonnage, refrigerant type, nominal airflow, and metering device pre-fill automatically.

mQ Assist now reads live system measurements directly from connected probes and delivers structured diagnostic summaries with prioritized findings, specific recommendations, and plain-language homeowner explanations in any language. It also knows when to leave a system alone. In shoulder-season conditions it validates performance and indicates when no meaningful improvement can be made, preventing unnecessary adjustments.

New Login Options (and Using mQ HVAC Without an Account)

Quick Start and New Login Options

Sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, or a phone number. SSO eliminates the friction of a separate measureQuick password and speeds up onboarding for new technicians.

For first-time users, Quick Start lets you open measureQuick, connect probes, and run a diagnostic with no account required. When you are ready, associate the session with an email and everything carries forward.

Upcoming Training (mQ 3.6 Taught Live)

Upcoming Training April & May 2026

Every event below will be taught on 3.6. If you want to see mQ+, System View, Tool Tracker, and companywide checklists in person before busy season, these are the dates.
